How often do you see a DJ/artist/songwriter/composer/arranger/producer/engineer/label owner with 100% ownership of his masters and copyrights? Well, Cedric C.E.D. Clark-Moore has done just that since 1996. With the bases of his success stemming from bass, rap and hip-hop; however extending far beyond those genres. Cedric has quietly catapulted southern underground music to the masses. For legendary artists like 2-Live Crew, Luke, Poison Clan, JT Money, H-Town, 95 South, 69 Boyz, and numerous others. Cedric has contributed to several multi-platinum, record-breaking classics. As Chairman and founder of Black Owned Music Group (BOMG), a self-taught producer, rapper and underground legend, Cedric has cultivated his skills into one of the most prolific talents in the music business.

Cedric Denard Clark-Moore was born on February 9, 1972 in Fort Pierce, Florida to George Clark and Debra Moore. The tragic, but not fatal shooting of his father when he was just five years old made his mother Debra work 16 hour days just to bring him up in a safe environment. A devout Christian, Cedric attended John Carroll Catholic Private High School because of his gifted athletic ability. "I remember only six (6) african-american students there and three (3) was there to play sports like me. The really crazy thing was my mother didn't even know I was going to high school there at first." Cedric later attended Westwood High School, where his two-sport (football and baseball) athletic skills earned him a full athletic football scholarship to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; while simultaneously being drafted by the Houston Astros in 1990 without playing baseball is Senior year in high school due to a shoulder injury from football. "I guess it was my .410 batting average my Junior year did it." However, his mother and grandmother directed and insisted that he attend college.

Cedric graduated with a degree in Speech Communications, yet his real education came when legendary music mogul Luther "Luke Skyy Walker, Luke, Capt. D, Uncle Luke or MR. 2 LIVE CREW" Campbell recognized his musical skills and hired him as his personal DJ in 1994. Shortly thereafter, Cedric founded his first record label Big Cee Records along with three other childhood college-educated, former NFL (Jeff Blackshear,G) Seattle Seahawks, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs & Green Bay Packers), NBA (Ben Davis,PF) Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, Utah Jazz & Houston Rockets) & MLB (Charles Johnson,C), Florida Marlins, Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies & Tampa Bay Devil Rays) friends in 1996. Moore initially only had himself signed to the label. Nevertheless, being true to his roots, he recruited three local rappers from his former high school to perform on his first record. The company's big break came with the release of Triple Threat DJ's underground bass classic "Party Time" which displayed Florida-style beats entwined with vivid, realistic, tales of his lifestyle.

Thereafter, Cedric and lead rapper Johnnie Nedd was signed to multi-platinum bass legend producer Tony "Pretty Tony" Butler's (Trinere & Debbie Deb) E.K.G. Records/Warlock Records as the rap group Red-N-Black. After Bulter sampled Moore's original "Party Time" record, titled it "It's Party Time" and took full credit as the producer, Cedric left the label in 1997. However, not before being immortalized in hip-hop history by being include on the Intersound Records 1998 release Bootleg Booty, Vol. 2. Which included the likes of Lil' Jon & The Eastside Boyz, Jazze Pha, Sir Mix-A-Lot, MC Shy D, DJ Toomp, DJ Smurf, DJ Uncle Al, DJ Jelly, Clay D, 12 Gauge, Get Some Crew, Danny D, Disco & The City Boyz, Gigolo Tony and MC ADE.

Frustrated with his major label music experience, Moore moved from Miami to Orlando. Where he met Rip-It Records owners Barry Dufae and Louis Bell; the grandson of world renown DJ Jack "The Rapper" Gibson. Rip-It Records success can be accredited to the release of the 69 Boyz multi-platinum/Billboard's Top Ten Rap and R&B single Tootsee Roll. Impressed with Moore's knowledge of the music industry, Dufae and Bell hired Cedric as their Director of Artist & Repertoire (A&R) at the young age of 27. Exchanging his pay-check for studio time; Cedric recorded Triple Threat featuring Red-N-Black "I Need Somebody Wit Money" in Rip-It Records state-of-the-art recording studio (Shu-Nut Recording Studios).

Once released on his newly found label Chain Gang Records, Triple Threat's "I Need Somebody Wit Money" was quickly put into heavy rotation on radio stations across the Southeast Region. Touring and performing along side such up and coming artists as Trick Daddy and Jagged Edge allowed Moore to expand his operation to Northern California (Oakland/San Francisco/San Leandro). Now, Moore has hooked up with, "my secret weapon" music legend Brian "Big Bass" Gardner/Bernie Grundman Studios, Hollywood, California to master his new single release; "Blew Me Away" by C.E.D. featuring Reggie B. "Blew Me Away" is one of the hottest independently owned records on Hip-Hop/R&B radio stations (165 and counting) worldwide. BOMG has just signed an exclusive digital distribution deal with iTUNES & RHAPSODY. STAY TUNED!!! IT'S MY TURN!!!
