At the age of 18 Big-B help create his own record label "Familio Records", published and processed copyrights to beats and lyrics produced other artist and sold over 60,000 units of duo projects since 2001 “The Product", "The Resume" and "The Takeover". The album "The Product" was released in 2002 and sold over 10,000 units. "The Resume" was released in 2004 and sold over 15,000 units, which caught the attention of Den-Den of BBU Enterprise. Den-Den and the group Familio put together one of the hottest and most selling albums in Charles County history, “Tha ' Takeover" was released in 2005 and sold over 17,000 units out the trunk…
At 25 years old, the self-proclaimed "Big-B" is about to make his presence known throughout the Rap music Industry. Big-B, alias Brian Goldring was born and raised in Waldorf, MD. Big-B has been rapping from a very early age, he credits his influences to Biggie and Jay- Z , Just like Biggie and Jay- Z, Big-B doesn’t' t use a pen or paper to memorize his raps there strictly in his head.
His dedication to the studio and understanding the music business when it comes to doing songs with catchy hooks, delivery on the mic , and self promotion, etc., he has been catalysts in separating him from other aspiring artist who think they have what it takes just because they can freestyle for one hundred bars. "Only other rappers are caught up in those things, I make my music for those who are going to buy my music, period.” says Big-B. Getting his work ethic from his mother and being a single father to his three year old daughter has made him work even harder and take his career very serious. "I've seen how she struggled for a period of time, but through hard work and determination she has achieved goals only a few people will ever reach."
Big-B has sold over 20,000 mixtapes! He has made appearances on a variety of DVD's as well; Big-B has also performed shows at area clubs, colleges and universities, and will soon embark on a 10 city tour with other established artist.
Projects currently in the mix is: "Gotta Get This Money" DVD & CD released March 2008, “Southside of Maryland” Released July 2009 (both can digitally downloaded on iTunes, Amazon, Napster ect.) and "Hungry 4 Cash" the solo album coming summer 2010. Distributing mixtapes: (Mr. 1.5 2009) Hosted by Coast 2 Coast (Beyond Hood Platinum 2009) Hosted by DJ Drama over 30000 downloads in 3 weeks. (Married 2 Streets 2008) in which sold over 5,000 units and still selling. (Southern MD Slangin 2007/2008) Hosted by Dj Chuck T which sold 3000 copies in 2 months and still selling. (The D.M.V'S Finest 2007) which sold 5000 units. (Welcome 2 Waldorf 2006/2007) Hosted by Dj Kurupt which has sold over 10000 units in MD, DC, VA, Miami and Atlanta, (Smoke Session 2006) in which sold over 7,000 units featuring artist from Familio.
