Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller are planning to undergo counseling after a heated fight at a dinner party in Aspen, Colo., that landed Charlie in jail on domestic violence charges Friday morning. "They were fighting at a dinner in a friend’s house and it continued until the next morning," a source close to Mueller. "Both of them were drinking and neither was supposed to be. They both have histories of alcohol abuse and have made every effort to stop. But things got out of hand." Sheen, 44, was booked at 11:20 a.m. for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief, according to a spokesperson for the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Department in Aspen, Colo. The actor posted an $8,500 bond Friday night and was released from jail at 7 p.m. He is due in court on Feb. 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. "Charlie went right back to Los Angeles after he was released from jail,. "Both he and Brooke will undergo counseling and Charlie will get anger management counseling." Despite reports, the couple had not been separated in the weeks leading up to the Christmas morning 911 call at the house they were renting with their twin boys, Bob and Max, 9 months. "Brooke and Charlie have never been separated,". "And the boys are fine – so precious. They knew nothing about a fight between their parents." The actor's Colorado-based attorney Richard Cummins, "They have two children together and they love one another and they’re going to work through what is a difficult time and they’re going to do that together and as privately as possible." Sheen's rep, Stan Rosenfield, had no further comment. Mueller, 32, plans to stay at her rented house in Aspen, and there is no talk of divorce at this time. "Brooke loves to snowboard and wants to be in Aspen now," "After this unfortunate event, they need to be apart for awhile." |
| Nic Cage Not Being Sued for Fraud | |

Nic Cage isn't being sued for fraud and lawyers for a real estate company are going after him for much less than a previously reported $36.7 million, PEOPLE clarifies. Cage, who says he's facing financial ruin after allegedly being duped by his former accountant, is being sued by Red Curb Investments for failure to pay back approximately $3 million in loans. Red Curb, a small private lender, is also seeking more than $3 million each from his former accountant and a mortgage broker, accusing them of defrauding the real estate company by not disclosing Cage's true financial picture, including his enormous tax debt. Marty Singer, Cage's lawyer, tells PEOPLE: "Any claims that Nic Cage engaged in fraud or wrongful conduct is absurd and ridiculous." |
| Mary J. Blige Denies Marital Dispute at Record Release Party | |

Mary J. Blige's publicist, Kerynne Tencer, is attempting to do some serious damage control after The New York Post ran a story earlier today claiming that Mary punched her husband, Kendu Isaacs, in the face during her album release party in New York City. "People lie and don't know what they're talking about," Tencer said. "They're as happy as can be. They're spending the holidays together with their three children. Everything's great." An unnamed witness reportedly told The Post that a fight sparked between the couple when Isaacs was caught flirting with female waitresses at M2 Ultra Lounge, in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. "She turned to him and was screaming, 'You're not going to ruin my night," the witness allegedly said. "They got up in each other's faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face. She was yelling at him, 'What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?" Although reports claim that Isaacs was escorted from the club after the fight, Blige's publicist issued a statement denying that any of the above incidents actually took place. According to Tencer, there is absolutely no drama between Mary and Isaacs, who is also her manager and husband of almost seven years. Mary J. released her ninth album, 'Stronger With Each Tear,' on Tuesday with notable attendees like Jay-Z, Beyonce and Busta Rhymes present to check out the new LP. Guest appearances on the album include T.I, Drake and Trey Songz. |
| Washington Wizards’ Star Gilbert Arenas Being Investigated For Storing Gun In Locker | |
|
|
Gilbert Arenas Washington Wizards star Gilbert Arenas is currently the subject of an NBA investigation over firearms he possibly stored in his locker in the past. According to ESPN, the NBA confirmed the rumors, but said the container was locked and stored without any ammunition. After the team found out, they notified the league and local authorities since it violated NBA rules. The Wizards and Arenas say they "are cooperating fully with law enforcement during its review of this matter and will have no further comment at this time," according to the Wizards' statement. The team's spokesman Scott Hall didn't divulge any details about when or where, but told the Washington Times on Christmas Eve (December 24) that the incident in question happened about two weeks ago. "It happened like December 10th. Right after my daughter was born," Arenas said. "I decided I didn't want the guns in my house and around the kids anymore, so I took them to my lock box at Verizon Center. Then like a week later, I turned them over to team security and told them to hand them over to the police, because I don't want them anymore. I wouldn't have brought them to D.C. had I known the rules. After my daughter was born, I was just like, I don't need these anymore." Arenas recently welcomed his third child, Hamiley Penny, earlier this month. His first daughter, Izela, turned 4 on Thursday. While the NBA allows its players to legally possess firearms, it prohibits them being brought to league facilities or when traveling on any league-related business. "We're aware of the situation and are working to gain a full understanding of the facts and relevant legal issues," the NBA said in a release. This isn't the first time a player violated these gun rules. In 2006, Los Angeles Clippers guard Sebastian Telfair was suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount after a loaded handgun -- registered to his girlfriend -- was found in his pillowcase aboard the team's plane when he was with Portland. According to the Washington Post, Arenas has not been charged with a crime yet. At press time, it was unclear if the league will take any action regarding the incident. |

| Lupe Fiasco Addresses People Who Steal Music | |

Chicago born rapper Lupe Fiasco addresses people who steal music and leak it onto the internet. On Christmas Eve, he wrote on his official blog about his new track titled I'm Beaming being leaked onto the internet. "Actions are being taken and the authorities have been notified, as a personal plea to all my fans PLEASE DO NOT share, stream, or download any unauthorized or stolen Lupe Fiasco music. A lot of time and energy goes into the creation of this music, not to mention large sums of money, money provided by my record company as well as from my own personal finances... With the history that surrounds the devastating and massive piracy of my first album I'm sure some of you can understand why this very harsh stance that is being taken up. And for those of you unsympathetic enough not to understand I can only compare it to someone breaking into your house and stealing everything not tied down or someone kidnapping your sister or brother and ransoming them back to you." "The track I'm Beaming that was leaked last night was NOT authorized or intentionally leaked by myself or my company, plain and simple its STOLEN property. And this goes for ANY record or track that leaks or is made available for illegal download from this day forward." Lupe previously blogged about the issue of track leaking earlier this year as his single Shining Down which featured Matthew Santos who appeared on the track Superstar and production by Soundtrakk. |
